The theme this week is: sunsets
I missed last weeks theme of silhouettes, although not from lack of trying. I’ve taken silhouette photos before but I just couldn’t get it right last week. I wasn’t taking the photos at the right time of day or something.
So I thought I’d combine the two this week.
Unfortunately for me, there haven’t been spectacular sunsets this week.
Here’s the best shot I’ve been able to get. :(
But I’ve taken a much better photo in this exact same spot a few years back so I thought I’d include it also.

You are right. Picture one is not near as powerfull as picture two! You did great…
I actually like picture one better. It’s subtle and makes the leaves, branches and power poles much more a part of the picture instead of just ‘there’. I also love how the color of the sky goes from gray to that warm golden orange so gradually. It’s calming…serene…and would look awesome in my house! LOL
Gorgeous is the word that comes to mind when I see the second picture!
I love what clouds do for sunsets, and how like snowflakes they are each unique, never repeated, always different. Both are beautiful!
I love the then and now pics!! They are both great shots, but wow…what an amazing sunset in the 2nd picture! I love bright sunsets. It’s amazing what clouds and such can do for them!
