I love the look of these photo tiles.
They only take a few minutes to make, are very inexpensive (under $3), and are awesome for customized gifts.
Ideally, I would have printed this photo out as 6″x6″ to fit the tile, but unfortunately it cropped our heads off at that size. I really wanted to use this particular photo so I just fit it as best I could.
- Step 1: Gather your supplies – photo (I used a 5×7), tile (from Lowes), Mod Podge, brush, paper trimmer (or scissors)
- Step 2: Crop photo to fit tile.
- Step 3: Brush Mod Podge onto tile, completely covering the surface.
- Step 4: Position the photo, then brush Mod Podge over entire photo.
- Step 5: Repeat and let dry completely.

Will be doing this! Love the photo by the way. You pretty much the prettiest person I have EVER seen.
Well thanks. You’re sure good for a girls ego. ;)
Do you find the little stand at Michael’s? Love the picture! Easy to do…I think I could even do this one. ;)
No it was $1 at Walmart. It was ugly gold so I gave it a coat of oil rubbed bronze. Much better. :)
can you add a sealant to it? because after many months of use, mine are starting to get water spots….not terrible, but i appear to have leprosy in one of the pictures now.
I didn’t add anything other than mod podge to these since they won’t come into contact with water but for coasters I would add a sealant.
I have tiles, need to print pictures…I love these, been planning to mk sm for ages…. Yours turned out awesomesauce
