I’m going to be honest here.
I’ve never been a fan of GAK or silly putty or any kind of slime-like substances.
But I distinctly remember the delight a few of my siblings took in squishing the disgusting stuff around and had a
sinking feeling my girls would probably enjoy it, too.
And sure enough.
They’re having the time of their life smooshing the globby mess around as I write.
I found this idea here.
What you’ll need to make your own GAK:
4 oz bottle Elmers school glue
Several TBSP of Borax
Add food coloring, mixing again.
Microwave 1 cup of water for a minute.
Add 1 TBSP Borax, mixing until dissolved.
Continue adding Borax, 1/2 tsp at a time until it will no longer dissolve in the water.
Combine the two mixtures and stir.
It will start clumping immediately.
Continue to mix until a large blob forms, then dump the excess water.
