So, the Princess and the Frog.
The girls didn’t like it quite as much as the Princess and the Pea, and between Valentines Day and Mad coming down with her monthly bout of sickness, we didn’t have as much time to dedicate to our weekly story as I would have liked.

Still, we had fun with it, and the phrase of the week has been “princesses always keep their promises.” :)

Here’s a peek at our week:

Cute little frog purses from the Target dollar section. Couldn’t resist getting them for the girlies.

One of our activity sheets. Ironically, the most well-known bit of the Princess and the Frog doesn’t exist in the original story.

Cute little froggy. I picked these up for a project that we never got around to. Ah well, the girls have still had fun playing with their little frog “princes.”

Besides the frog cupcakes, the only real project we finished this week are these upcycled princess crowns.

They’re made out of 2-liter bottles and glitter glue.
You can find the tutorial here.
I love projects that recycle everyday objects.

The child’s hair makes crown-wearing difficult. ;)
